I recall feeling the same. I took to my Facebook page to rant a bit. I let me friends who voted for a Trump know that they now owned the idiot and his pending foibles. Little did I know they were then and mostly today still 100% supportive of his majesty to be. Yet, I hope you can find peace in knowing that you have a great voice and platform. Don’t give up. Challenge all of us to not give up. We know we are fighting the right cause. If I may, you got this girl!
I know how you feel. My stomach churns with every breathless media report about T’s support. But I think it’s too early for any panic. I read a lot of substack political writers. I urge you to read one for a historical perspective with clear-eyed analysis - Heather Cox Richardson. She calms me down, has taught me far more about American history than any school, and puts things in perspective.
I understand your feeling. Yet take solace in the many, if not more, making the (Adam) Kinzinger move in the other direction.
