You didn’t need to ‘prove it’s but you did. My wife and I are enthusiastically supporting Kamala for a number of reasons, including her positions on reproductive rights and gun control that make our daughter’s lives better.

Steph, I share your view, as does retired federal courts (conservative Republican) Judge J. Michael Luttig. In his recent endorsement of Kamala Harris, which according to the article I read will be his first ever vote for a Democrat presidential candidate, he writes, "...I assume that her public policy views are vastly different from my own, but I am indifferent in this election as to her policy views on any issues other than America’s Democracy, the Constitution, and the Rule of Law, as I believe all Americans should be."

His full statement can be found here, https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25050952-luttig-endorsement.

Steph, I grew up not far from your hometown and I hate going home (now live in the DC area). I hate I feel like I have to defend my beliefs about abortion and gun control. I hate that I've had to block classmates that I've known for over fifty years because I absolutely can't stand to see their idolization of TFG. My husband and I are Army vets and we sure as hell didn't swear to protect and defend ANY president. Our dedication was/is to the Constitution. I'm voting for Harris/Walz because democracy for all means all, that your right to not have an abortion ends there and does not extend to another person who wants/needs that option, that your freedom to marry someone of the opposite sex should never preclude people in LGBTQ+ community from marrying the person they love. I'm old enough to remember when women couldn't get credit cards without a husband. I remember ads on tv about "husbands, make sure your wife won't loose everything when you die" because in the 1970's women could still loose credit cards, etc if their husband died suddenly and there weren't legal protections in place. I'm sure as hell not going back to that and I don't want my adult daughter to have to live through it.
